Allyson Felix
Allyson Nicole Felix was born on November 18, 1985, in Los Angeles. She was the daughter of Paul Felix was an ordained minister at the Master's Seminary in Sun Valley as well as their mother Marlean Felix was a school teacher at Balboa Magnet Elementary School. Felix showed an early aptitude to play sports while in high school at Los Angeles Baptist High School. Felix discovered her athletic talent at that time. Just 10 weeks after her first attempt, she finished 2nd in the 200-meter race at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix completed her high school education and was signed to an agreement to Adidas. In 2004, she enrolled in an institution called the University of Southern California, in the area of elementary education. Felix's first Olympic medal came at the 2004 Summer Olympics held at Athens Greece. Felix set an international junior record the 200m race in 22.18 seconds. She was the youngest winner of the 200 meters at the World Championships in Helsinki in the year 2005. She defended her title the following year, by beating long-time Jamaican competitor Veronica Campbell. Felix competed at Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo and consistently placed among the top three athletes in her respective events.
